I use material that is 'not my favorite' for backing. This is usually material that was given to me that I really don't like but can't stand not to find a use for or material that I purchased and 'fell out of love with'. Making lemonade out lemons. Actually I think the selection you're chosen would make a great quilt top too!
Thanks so much Roxanne. I feel the same way about the backings for the quilts. I don't like to waste any fabric. This back was just scraps that I couldn't do much with.
