What A Great Day-Part one

The other day Sara, Rina and I took a trip to Ra'anana to see Terry Mowszowski.  Boy, were we in for a surprise.

Sara finished her special quilt top and took it there to be quilted on a long arm machine.  Meanwhile, we were given a demonstration up close on how this quilting is done.  I've seen a little bit on the internet but there is nothing like seeing it in person, working, and with the quilter doing it.  What fun!!!
I took a few pictures so you can get the idea and I will also show some of Terry's quilt collection.  She gave us a mini show.
I  loved the parking lot sign-Parking for Quilters Only.
Terry has a large collection of bears and you will see them everywhere.
Of course there were quilts every place you looked.

Terry's Mom stopped in to meet us.  Such a happy, upbeat and experienced person.
I was permitted to take some random pictures of the studio.
Here Zvia is showing us how they put quilts onto the long arm.
Here Carol, an excellent quilter, is hand stitching the final label on a quilt.
Here Sara is working with Terry, Zvia, and Carol to pick out her special design.

The ladies here work very hard on making quilts for charities.  If you want more information on these projects please contact them at

  3. Yes, it was even more enjoyable than I ever expected. Terry really went "way beyond the call of duty" sharing all those wonderful quilts. I loved every minute of being there. Thanks Etty and Rina for sharing this experience with me.
