Renee's Daughter Wants Help

Renee's daughter Mimi, wants some suggestions on this.  She just finished this quilt top and wants to add one more solid border.   What color would you suggest is best?  Any ideas what should be on the back?  This is really beautiful guilt.  Whatever Mimi will decide will be terrific.

  1. Beautiful quilt. I love the colors. You could just say "eeny meeny miny moe" and any color would look great. I would like to see just the purple border made bigger, or perhaps green or pink. For the back, I'd suggest an all over pattern that incorporates most of the colors.

  3. I also think that the purple border should be a bit wider. The quilt is gorgeous, love all those colours!!

  4. This is so pretty. I would add one of the less intense colors, one with a lower value, from the quilt for another border, maybe the darker blue. That way the border won't distract the eye of the viewer from the main focus of those colorful blocks. Also use the same color for the binding as the outer border. As for the back, anything goes. A floral with the same colors as the front will add a little surprise to the brain of the viewer, a sort of 'shock' value.
