I wanted to show just a few wall hangings and pillows that I've made. The first one is very timely. I made it back in 1984 for the Redstone Arsenal Officer's Club in Alabama. It was to be hung there every year at Chanukah.
Since we are speaking of Chanukah I'd like you to see what my dear friend Peggy made for me also in the 1980's. I hang it in my home every year. It was made with regular bias tape which was very clever.
I made this for my sister Sandy many years ago. At the time everyone was making little quilts and leaving them in their hoops. This was an easy way to display our work. The pattern used here is called "Dove in the Window."
These are pillows that I made when I was learning to quilt. When learning it's best to start out with small projects.
This is a more recent pillow that I made for my sister Geri. It looks like I paper pieced it, but I didn't know how to at the time. I added 1/4" seem around each piece to make this. Now I know better.
A lovely display. Thanks. Happy Chanukah.
