Bracha's Quilts

Here are some quilts that Bracha has been working on.  She is a busy quilter in between her traveling and other activities.

 

 

New Comfort Quilt

I had this piece of fabric which was not even a panel.  Fabric was added and now it's a new quilt.

Renee is doing some hand quilting on it so this quilt should be ready to go soon.  Thanks so much Renee, for helping.

 

Renee's Bib

I don't know how Renee does it.  She is always making gifts for someone.  Here she is making another counted x stitch bib for a new baby.  They are so adorable.  It's hard when you know they will get so dirty.

 

Putting A Quilt together

The ladies have sandwiched a quilt the old fashion way.  Just needle and thread.  No pins are being used this time.  Sara doesn't know when she will get to hand quilt this Underground Railroad quilt so it's best to put it together not using those pins that make holes.  Here are the ladies doing just that.  Some of us have never done this before.  And yes, the backing is the correct size this time.

 

A Happy Wedding

Mazel Tov to Hinda and her family on the marriage this week of her youngest daughter.

 The wedding was outside on a beautiful Jerusalem evening.

 

 And here are some quilters having a great time.  I was there of course.  I'm the one always trying to take the pictures.

A Mistake

Sara laid out her Undergrown Railroad quilt for us to sandwich and everyone loved it.  Well, to our surprise the backing was too short.  Ok, no problem.  After a few adjustments, we will try again.  Nothing gets us down.

Mazel Tov

Mazel Tov to Hinda.  Her daughter is getting married next week.  These pictures are from the engagement party.  The young man's family is from Yemen so they dressed in traditional Temani clothing for the party.  It was so interesting and so much fun.  What an adorable couple.  We all wish them well.

Rina's Tablecloth

Well, Rina's tablecloth won't stay flat on the table.  What's a quilter to do?  The ladies had many suggestions.  Including,  just make it into a bed quilt.  If she does, Rina will have to start all over again with new fabrics.  We will just have to wait and see what she decides.

New Fabric

When new fabric arrives at Budrutz, it's best to buy it right away.  Often when I return, it's gone.  Here is my latest buy.  The children's fabrics where so cute I had to take them home with me.

 

Sara's Train Quilt

I hope this week our group will be back to work as usual after a 3 week vacation.  Sara has finished her latest quilt and her grandson is already enjoying it.  It is so, so cute.

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have all been very busy, but not with quilting.  It's vacation time here in Israel.  Everyone is going away or receiving guests, so there is little time for quilting.  I'm busy too with grandmotherly things to do.  I did start a new quilt for my oldest grandson and I can show you what I have done so far.  This is the pattern from About.com.

A Trip To Budrutz

    Budrutz in Jerusalem, has received new fabric from  America.  They received so much that I just don't know where they will put it all.  You might want to check it out, if you are in the area.  I took a picture while I was there, but certainly not all the fabric is shown.

  

Renee's Baby Quilts

Renee has finished the hand quilting on her 3 baby quilts.  Now they are ready to be delivered.  Wonderful job Renee.  She has made 2 Jack in the Box quilts.
