Rina's Latest

Even though I'm moving into a new home, the ladies just keep working away.  I don't have much time for sewing, but everyone else does.  Rina brought this quilt to be sandwiched and she is now home quilting it.

A Double Wedding Ring

Sara is just getting started.  This is a kit she bought sometime ago and Sara says it's time to make it.  She brought us just the beginning to show us the colors.  All the pieces are cut out.  It doesn't get better than that. It's going to be so, so terrific.

A special gift from a special friend.  Recently a friend of mine had to go to California for a short visit.  It wasn't for fun.  There was a great deal of sadness on this trip.  My friend found the time to pick up a treat for me during this difficult time.  It's amazing the friends we make in this lifetime.  We have to stop and make the time to appreciate them.

The Latest From Sara

Sara has been doing some new quilting to her quilts.  She is doing a great job.  Sara thought she couldn't do it, but now there will be no stopping her.

A Big Thank You

A very big thank you goes to Hadassah from "The 2 Spies."  This week she has donated what you see here from her stash.  It is just wonderful.  Jeans, cotton clothing from the thrift (Gemach) shops, a bolt of unused fabric and 7 quilt tops that are ready for quilting.  So much that could be used for our comfort quilts.  We are overwhelmed by her generosity.

Sara's Grandmothers Flower Garden

Sara has finished her Grandmothers Flower Garden top.  She has been working on it for a long time and is so excited that she has reached this point.  It's completely paper pieced and fantastic.

String Fling

Happy Holiday to all those that are celebrating today.  May we all finally have peace, good health and all that we hope for.

I started these 3 1/2 inch string blocks some time ago.  They are very addictive.  I am getting like  Bonnie Hunter from Quiltville.  I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but someday I'll use them and they will be ready to go.  It started with this pile of scraps.

 

 

 Now remember they are only 3 1/2 inches.

When are scraps too small?  When they look like this.

A Jelly Roll Quilt

I've started another quilt.  This time it's with a jelly roll that my sister Sandy bought for me.  It was fun to do and worked up quickly.  I still have to decide what boarders to put on.

A Birthday Quilt

I just finished this toddler quilt for my grandson.  He will be turning 3 years old just after the holiday.  I just love it when I finish on time. Yes, he is getting a little toy train along with the quilt.  I couldn't find the book that goes with this fabric's details.  A big thank you to his great Aunt Sandy for supplying the fabric.
