Strings And More Strings

I continue to make strings for comfort quilts.  I have so many scraps that I  must use them up.  I was able to find a new home for some, so that helped a lot.

 

Renee's Scroll Cover

Renee's husband passed away last year.  A special scroll is being dedicated to the Shul in his honor.  This is the special cover for it.

This is Renee's latest quilt.  It's going to keep someone very, very warm next winter.

Rina's Tablecloth

Rina has been working on this tablecloth which was put aside for awhile.  It's time to get it finished for her daughter.  Yes, it's big but her daughter does fill it up with many guests.

Pillows, Pillows, Pillows

Ruth is continuing to work on her pillow tops.  They are working out very, very nicely.

 

 

Quilters Making Skirts

Renee has a special event coming up so all the little girls will have to have matching outfits.  This is the first of the skirts she will be making.

Sara will also be making a skirt for herself.  She has had this fabric for a long time and now is the time to make something with it.

Susan Is Back

I'm happy to say that Susan has just returned from a trip to the States.  We are so happy to have her back.  She brought along 2 little mini's that she has been working on.

Rina's Squares

After making many strips, Rina is now cutting them into 2 /2" squares for two separate quilts.

Sara's Binding

This is such a wonderful quilt.  Sara is busy hand stitching the binding on.

Ruth's Pillows

Ruth has lots of pillows she would like to make.  She has just completed the first square.

 She placed the square onto a fabric the size that she wants to make.  Now she will add the borders that are needed.  This will be the first of many pillows.

New Jeans Quilt

Sara has started a new Jeans Rag quilt.  She has just finished cutting out the squares that are needed.  We have so many jeans to make into quilts.  They make great quilts for young people.

Mothers Day

The Week After

It's been a busy week for all of us.  We've been getting our homes in order, restocking our pantries and trying to get into our sewing rooms.  Pesach (Passover) is a wonderful holiday but it requires a lot of work before and after.  I hope next week we can start producing and having beautiful things to show you.

String Blocks

During this time of year there is so much to do.  Shopping, cleaning, cooking.  But I took a few minutes and spent sometime in my sewing room.  It's so hard not to sew.  I made a few string blocks that will be for a comfort quilt.

 

Pesach (Passover) Coming

Pesach is starting this Friday evening and it looks like this little guy is ready.

 

One week Before Pesach (Passover)

The ladies are so, so busy.  But not with sewing.  There is cleaning and shopping to do before our holiday begins Friday night.  So it's time to smile and enjoy our mini vacation.  We are producing but not with quilts.  It's roasts, kugels, side dishes and desserts.  This is vacation?

We've completed the latest Comfort quilt top.  It's a happy quilt and I hope it will make some young person feel that way too.  It can't be finished at this time.  Right now we are all doing our Pesach (Passover} cleaning and preparations.  Not much time for anything else.
