Tablecloths

Rina is working on 2 tablecloths for her daughter.  They have to be really big, so that has been a problem for Rina.  But both are coming along very well.  Her daughter will get a great deal of enjoyment using them.

 Rina had enough fabric for this one above, but the 2nd one was more of a challenge.

A Beautiful Sunset

This time in Israel the skies over Israel are alive.  I just couldn't resist showing this fantastic sunset.

 

Sara's Quilt

The top of Sara's quilt is finished.  Soon she will sandwich and quilt it.  What a delightful happy quilt.

 

We Love To Shop

This cartoon says it all.  We love a great sale, especially if it's fabric! I am just like any other quilter, trying to resist. I am working on reducing my stash and it's working.  Now to finish some of those UFO's.

Hunter's Star

Ruth has started working on the Hunter's Star quilt pattern.  First she made a sample using scrap fabrics to see if she liked doing it.

 Well of course she liked doing it, so now she is working on the real thing.

Red And White Mini

Susan is working on this red and white mini and everyone just loves it.  

Lots Of Colors

Sara has been working on this scrappy quilt.  It's very warm and happy.  I hope to show you the top all assembled soon.

Susan's Baby Quilt

When Susan joined us last her baby quilt looked like this.

Rina's Quilt

Rina has been working on the "L shape ruler quilt".  The batik fabrics are fantastic.

 The dots you see on the quilt are only for Rina to keep track as she organizes the quilt.  Don't worry, they will be coming off.

A Mini From Susan

A Daughters Quilt

Renee's daughter Mimi made this quilt.  It has a little more quilting to be done and then it will be finished.  It's so much fun to have quilting daughters.

Update On Red,Black And White Quilt

It looks like it will be a tablecloth and not a quilt.  Rina has made a decision, so the ladies were helping to decide how to make it larger. There isn't enough of the fabric that was planned so everyone had suggestions on what to do.  Quilters are the BEST friends.

A Quilt Retreat

My dear friend Kiki Finlayson in Oregon just posted this message on Facebook and I want to share it with you. 

" What is it that compels us otherwise normal people to take perfectly good pieces of fabric, cut them into smaller pieces, then sew them back together to make quilts? No matter, it is a great joy to those of us who follow this path. Quilt retreat in Newport!"
I wish I could have joined her.  It would have been so much fun for me.

White, Black and Red

It looks like someone is planning a white, black and red quilt.  We will just have to wait and see what becomes of this fabric.

A Grandson's Quilt

My grandson Yaacov Mendel has been making a quilt for the first time.  This is just the top and he hopes to finish it this week.  My grandson Moshe Aaron is helping him hold it up for the picture.  It's interesting that my grandsons are more interested in making quilts than my granddaughters.

A Quilt For A Three Year Old

I just finished a quilt for a grandson that is turning 3 years old.  The center is a panel which I've used before for another grandchild.  I should have bought more of these panels when I had the chance.

Rules For Quilting

Heart Quilt

Sara's heart quilt is quilted and now to see how to hang it.  There are several options so it's decision time.

 This is a great wall quilt.  Wonderful job Sara.

Hand Work

We all enjoy having some hand work to do and Renee is no different.  She just started this needlepoint which is just darling.

ABC's

Rina made this darling ABC flannel quilt top.  It was a panel and needed to be larger so she made strips in between certain lines.  It will be so, so cute when finished.  It was sandwiched today so it's ready for quilting.

Ruth's Quilt

Ruth has her borders on.  This quilt is coming along nicely.
