Quilt Ideas Everywhere

You can find quilt pattern ideas everywhere.  I recently bought a used chess set for one of my grandsons.  I couldn't believe my eyes.  What a great quilt pattern on the chess board just waiting for someone to give it a try.  In years to come he may remember his grandmother (Bubby) loved to make quilts.
While I was recently in a hospital in Tsfat helping to take care of my grandson, I found something very interesting.  In several rooms on the floor, you guessed it, a quilt pattern.  It was the Square In A Square.  I shouldn't be so surprised.  Quilt patterns are everywhere.

300th Post Giveaway

Just a reminder that this Monday, July 18th, we will pick the winner of our giveaway.  There is one more day to sign up.  You don't have to be a follower, although that would be nice.  We are giving away 1 Meter of this unique fabric that any quilter would enjoy.
This past week I spent a great deal of time in Tsfat.  My little 1 1/2 year old grandson was ill in the hospital and I spent time helping to take care of him.  I'm grateful to Hashem for his recovery and that he has just returned home and is doing better.  A big thank you to my hubby for continuing our blog by posting the drafts that were ready to go.

Three Little Kittens

Susan has adopted 3 newborn kittens and I mean newborn.  She and her family have been feeding them every two hours.  Well, they seem to like sleeping on quilts (cat naps); so, Susan is allowing them to sleep on this lovely log cabin quilt top.  Now that is love.

Shopping At Budrutz

Budrutz has wonderful new fabric.  And, of course, I had to take advantage of it.  Just take a look.  These first 2 fabrics really go well together and will make a wonderful little boys quilt.
I found wonderful sky fabric with white clouds.  I hope someday to make a landscape.
And her are some more goodies.

Log Cabin Pin

This year at the Israeli Quilters Association conference there was a wonderful display of pins just for quilters.  Miri Gur makes the cutest Log Cabin pins using string.  It was truly hard to pick from such a selection.  This pin is 1 1/2" X 1 1/2".  Amazing!

Be sure to check out our 300th Post Giveaway dated July 8th.

Sara's New Quilt Bag

Sara recently bought 2 special fabrics from Budrutz.  One fabric is the same fabric that is in our giveaway.
The other fabric has bolts of fabric stacked up, one on top of the other.  It looks like many fabrics, but it's just one.  So cute!
So Sara made this wonderful quilter's bag which will hold lots and lots of quilting supplies.
This fabric also came in blue.  Of course I had to get it and I hope to make a bag too.

Classes With The Israeli Quilters Association

Sara and Susan took a class to learn Hawaiian quilting.  It was a very enjoyable day for them.  It was an opportunity to meet other quilters and make many new friends.
Debbie also took a class.  Even though she is a teacher, she feels we can always learn something new.
I stopped into another class to see what was going on.  Everyone was having such a good time.
Be sure to check out our 300th Post Giveaway dated July 8th.

On a recent visit to Jerusalem I passed by a favorite park of mine.  As usual I had to stop to enjoy the sight.  This time I took a few pictures for you to see.

Renee S Making Progress

Sorry that we've been away.  We had computer trouble since Wednesday.  Now we are up and running again.

Renee brought in her latest quilt top.  This is the Disappearing Nine Patch.  Renee wanted this quilt to be very scrappy and it is.  I like all the colors and fabrics.  It's being sandwiched now and will be finished soon.  This quilt is adorable for a young girl.
Here is Renee with a big smile on her face.  She was so happy the way this quilt turned out.
