These ladies are doing a fantastic job to help lone soldiers have a home to relax and enjoy when they aren't in the field. They are not part of our quilting group in Betar Illit, but are part of our extended family, a group of talented quilters. All quilters get involved and we are so proud of the work they do.

Sara's Placemats

Sara is making progress on her place-mats.  She is spending the day today, quilting them all.  She wants them finished right away.  Sara is making 4 for Meat and 4 for Dairy.  We keep these 2 types of foods separate.

 

Another Little Bitty Quilt

This is Susan's latest and I really like it.  Her quilts are always hand quilted.

Plastic Bags

Women are making mats out of plastic bags for the homeless.  Once again women are making a difference and being creative.  Watch the video below.

Hello From Jackson Hole, Wy

Rina is still visiting her daughter and family after the birth of a new grandson.  We are missing her and hope she comes home soon.  In this picture you can see her and her family enjoying a the new bowling alley that just opened up.

Welcome Back Sara

Sara has been away and we are so happy to have her back with us.  Here you can see her with Susan and she is already working on a project.  Sara plans to make some place mats for her granddaughter that just got engaged.  Mazel to the family Sara.

Orphan Blocks

On The Design Wall-Super Easy Hourglass Quilt Blocks

I have lots of ugly fabric and this is a great way to use them.  By the way, I'm not really sure how I acquired so many ugly fabrics. I must have liked them as some point in time.

Missouri Star Quilt Co has a video which they call "Super Easy Hourglass Quilt Blocks".  They are 5" squares made into 4 patches.  You should check it out.
