Mazel Tov

Mazel Tov to Rina on the birth of her latest grandson.  She is visiting her daughter and family in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and is there to celebrate this blessing with her family.

Non Quilting Subject

Outside of Betar Illit where I live there is a road running along side of the road that I take.  This sign is what I have to deal with.  Quilters deal with a lot and maybe it helps me to deal with this.  You are blessed if you don't have to worry about going down the wrong road.

What Have I Been Doing?

I've been organizing and rearranging, that's what. But it never seems to get better.

Missouri Star Quilt Co

Every Friday, Jenny from Missouri Star Quilt Co puts out a video of something new and interesting.  Usually it's in conjunction with pre-cuts.

I like to try what she shows and this past Friday she made "Super Easy Hourglass Quilt blocks.  It's a 4 patch using 5" squares.  I also tried it using 1 1/2" squares.  I have a stack of scrap 5" squares ready that I've made myself so my final quilt will look different than Jenny's.

Finished Pillows

Ruth has finished her pillows.  She just has to place the pillow forms inside.

 It's the last minute but Ruth decided to make one more before her trip.  These pillows will be a special surprise for her granddaughters.

She will be hand quilting this one on her way.  Great job Ruth.

A Jewish Grandmother

There are many good blogs out there on the internet.  I like to look in on "A Jewish Grandmother".  On her blog today she gives advise on an inexpensive place to eat on Yaffo and King George.  You might like to take a look at her interesting blog, even if it isn't about quilting.

It's Finished

Rina put a lot of work and a lot of changes into this wonderful quilt.  She is so happy that it's finished.

Sometimes quilts don't turn out the way you planned.  But in the end they are all beautiful.

100% Cotton ?

I hope in this very hot climate that these garments are 100% cotton.  Many of us use old clothing to put into our quilts.  There is certainly lots of black for quilters here.

New Grandson

I'm happy to announce that I have a new grandson.  His name in Binyamin and he is my 14th grandson.  I also have 4 granddaughters,  I can't forget to mention them.

 

 

Counted X Stitch

Renee just finished this adorable Counted X Stitch.  It took awhile to do but it was worth it.  Mazel Tov to Renee, she just became a young great grandmother.
