A Finished Comfort Quilt
I'm happy to say we have another finished comfort quilt. This top was donated to us.
The back is one piece so this quilt went together quickly.
The best part is that it was delivered to someone today and they liked it.

A Big Mistake
What happens when you make a big mistake? Do you cry? That's not what Rina did. A new pattern was designed and Rina likes this better than the original pattern.
Rina had some extra squares left over so she put them on the back. Today was the day to sandwich this quilt and we all look forward to seeing it next week after it's finished.
This is the back.

Reversible Comfort Quilt
I really like this bright toddlers reversible comfort quilt.
This fabric is great. I think it's one of my favorite fabrics.
It looks like something my grand kids would have come up with.

Another Toddler Comfort Quilt
This top was donated so it was finished in no time. We decide to just use yarn in the corners of each square instead of quilting it on the sewing machine. No binding either.
I used the same fabric again on the back, as the last comfort quilt.

What Can We Do With Yarn?
I saw this video on Facebook under TED. It isn't the bus or the yarn. It's all about getting meditative and to do something that will make a change in a sometimes bleak world. You can see this on Facebook or click below.

A Green & Yellow Comfort Quilt
These green squares started out to be a different quilt entirely but it didn't work out. Sara donated the squares to be made into a different pattern. Fortunately they did work out for this toddler comfort quilt. I also did something that I never do. I washed it when it was finished. It looks OK but I'm not convinced that it's the best thing to do. I don't want anyone to think their quilt was used and by washing the quilt, it no longer looks brand new.

Quilts For Cancer
This message was posted on Facebook by Cindy Semp - Quiltville Open Studio. I felt is was wonderful and I wanted to pass it on to my fellow Quilters. Cindy said I could post it on my blog.
I would like to share a story with all the quilters here. I know many of
you make quilts to give away for cancer patients. Well I have been
helping my neighbor> She was diagnosed with cancer 3 months ago. I help
drive her to appointments or go with her for a ride to keep her
company. Monday she had to go for her shot and while sitting in the
waiting room there was an older woman holding a quilt. It was bright
spring colors and so pretty. I asked her if she made it and she replied
she received it from a local group that gives quilts out to cancer
patients getting chemo. This woman was softly stroking the quilt as we
spoke and telling me that it really brightens her day, especially when
she is getting chemo, not to mention it keeps her warm. She really
loved this quilt. I know when we donate quilts we do not get to see the
reaction of the people receiving them, so I wanted to share this with
you all to let you know the work that goes into the quilt and donated
does truly give someone a brighter day.

My 2nd Bar Mitzvah Quilt
I finished another Bar Mitzvah quilt for my grandson that will be 13 yrs old in April. He wanted boats so that is what he is getting. I hope he will like it. Also, there are whales on the sides and back.
I put some clouds above the water.

What To Do When You Make A Mistake?
Well, Rina found out. She didn't like the way her blocks came out for a pattern, so she took them all apart and brought them to the quilt group. The best thing to do in this situation is to bring them to your friends. Several hours were spent and deciding what to do. This looks like the final solution.
P.S. we all had fun helping her and figuring out how to make a new quilt when we had 2 different size blocks to work with.

The Latest From Bryna
Everyone in our group saw this on the internet. It was on Missouri Star Quilting. Under the name of MAKE A DENIM STRIP QUILT and Bryna was the first to make it.
It's very easy and different. Bryna used regular fabrics and it worked out well. Great job Bryna.
