1/2 Square Triangles

Susan really likes doing 1/2 square triangles.  This is the latest she brought for show and tell.

I gave her some bonus triangles from another project and look what she did!

Snow In Israel

It doesn't happen very often but it did this Shabbos.  This is a picture of my patio before the rain came and washed it away.

Always Working

Our ladies are always working on something.  Here, Sara has been working on this sampler.

Susan always has some hand quilting to work on.

Dog/Cat Beds

I've finished the first bed for dogs/cats which I hope will be donated to an animal shelter.  I hate to put all those tiny scraps in the trash.  Now they are being used to stuff these little beds.  The older I get the more I dislike waste, so this helps my need to do something about it. What about you?

 I used a thicker fabric for the outside in hopes that it will hold up well.  I may use old jeans too.

Siddi Quilts

Does any one have information about Siddi Quilts from India that are called Kawandi?

I've seen videos on the internet and I would love to know how to make them.  They remind me of quilts made by ladies of Gees Bend.

Latest Comfort Quilt

Our latest comfort quilt is completed.  It will be great for a little boy. I'm so happy to finally get some quilts ready for when we need them.  All fabrics are leftovers.  We are getting better at not wasting anything.

Always Working

Sara continues to learn a great deal about hand quilting from Susan.  We all find hand quilting very relaxing.

Hand Quilting

Sara finished her sampler and now is hand quilting it.  It's taking awhile, but worth the time and effort.

Blue & Pink Comfort Quilt

The blue and pink comfort quilt is finished.  It's light weight and will be great for someone in a hospital bed.  We always hope it will bring a smile to someone that is suffering.
