Susan has been hand quilting this colorful quilt. It's so bright and cheerful. I love it.

Sara's Nine Patch
Sara's nine patch is ready for quilting. We just sandwiched it and now Susan will do the quilting on the sewing machine. It's wonderful that we can work together on our quilts.
This is what Sara put on the back.

Thank You For Fabric Donation
A big thank you goes to Bryna's daughter, Chana, in Jerusalem. She donated this cotton fabric to our group for comfort quilts. We appreciate it very much.

Beautiful October Day
This Monday was such a beautiful day that we sat outside for a change of pace. It also offered us a little more elbow room from my tiny apartment. It always surprises me how there is always a full house even when some of the ladies can't make it.

My Wagon Wheel Block
I just completed my Wagon Wheel block for the Underground Railroad quilt. I used a Yo-Yo in the center with the puffy side showing. I'm not sure if I will leave it that way or turn the Yo-Yo around.

Sara is just finishing her Wagon Wheel block. She made this a little different and the results are great. I really like the way this turned out.

It's Time For A Giveaway
Our blog reached it's second anniversary on Oct 12th. A blog that was started just for our group has become a success. A big thank you to everyone that has followed and encouraged us over the past 2 years.
We have reached 95 countries and have been followed by 11,000 individuals around the world. Almost 6,000 from the USA. Over 2,800 followers in Israel which is remarkable for such a small country. And our blog has had over 30,000 hits.

Two Quilts Finished
Renee S has finished 2 quilts and brought them to our group for the ladies to see. The first is a flannel quilt which can be for a boy or girl.
The second is definitely a boy quilt. It's a panel and just so cute. I think it would be great as a wall hanging. That's Renee hiding behind her quilt. Renee will have surgery soon on her hand and she wanted to get these finished first. Renee won't be able to sew for awhile. We wish her a speedy recovery. There are too many quilts to be made so Renee has to heal quickly and get back to work.

Arkansas Cross Roads Square
This is the next quilt block in the Underground Railroad. It's called the Arkansas Cross Roads. I did my 4 patch differently. I used my background fabric for one of the colors and I think it makes the square more interesting.

In-House Giveaway
We had fun with this giveaway. All these items were placed in a bag -- quilt bag of course. Each lady in turn placed her hand in and picked an item. If she was able to tell what it was by touch, she had a good chance of picking something that she wanted. The only item not related to quilting was the hand fan. In this hot climate it's very handy to keep in your purse, just in case the heat gets too excessive.
