Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt

Are you doing Bonnie Hunter's Mystery quilt?  How is it coming along?  A few of us in Israel are following along and enjoying it very much.  We will show you are progress from time to time.

Quilt Being Used

I just love it when we get feed back about our comfort quilts.  This quilt was donated to an IDF soldier that was injured.  His baby was trying it out.

Mini Quilts

Susan has just finished these beautiful mini quilts.  She enjoys hand quilting so much and we can enjoy the results of her work.  They are just terrific.

 

A Long Project

Renee has started a very long time project.  It will be a quilt or tablecloth when it's finished.  It's great that Renee can take this with her everywhere and work on it a little at a time.

The Birch Quilt

Sara has been working on this Birch quilt recently.  It's still in the process but moving along.  It has been sandwiched and is ready for quilting.  Beautiful, beautiful quilt.

This is the interesting back.

We like to sandwich all our quilts on my dinning room table.  Here Sara is deciding what thread to quilt it with. I'm so glad I brought this table over from America.

The Mystery Quilt Has Begin

Four ladies in our group, including me, have started Bonnie Hunters Mystery quilt.  I'll show you our progress as we go along.  We are all excited about doing this.  It's our first Mystery quilt.

 

 

 

I'm using the Easy Angle ruler for the first time.  I'll let you know if I like it.

While I was waiting for the Mystery Quilt to begin on Quiltville, I started this.  Bonnie was making a quilt on her Quiltcam for a baby that is due very soon.  I already had the 9 patches so I said why not.  Within 2 days I had the top done.  I don't know when it will be quilted but this will be a wonderful comfort quilt for a little boy.  I really like the way it turned out.  This picture just shows the blocks on my design wall.  I decided to make one extra row to make it longer.

Something New

I tried something new.  I made all the shashing strips from crumbs.  Little pieces of fabric that I would put in the trash.  This top was given to the Unity Quilters and they will finish it.  I really like the way it came out.  I'll have to keep using my crumbs from now on.  Also, Terry from the Unity Quilters took our reversible jeans quilt.  All the soldiers quilts will be given out very soon.

A Soldiers Quilt

This quilt will be going to an IDF soldier very soon.  The top was donated to us from "The Two Spies".  We hope it will help in his healing.

 

A Soldiers String Quilt

Another string quilt has been completed.  It will be going to an IDF soldier.  We hope he or she will enjoy it.  It's our way of showing our appreciation for all our soldiers do for us.

A Wonderful Guest

Meet Terry our special guest.  She came quite a distance to join us.  Our group donated 3 quilts and 1 quilt top.  Terry and her fellow quilters will be delivering them to IDF soldiers that have been injured.  I hope to show you the quilts over the next few days.

I Like to Straighten The Bolds Of Fabric

No, I seem to start straightening the bolts of fabric.  Everything should be orderly.  Do you have this problem too?

Another Finsihed Quilt From Rina

Rina has completed another darling quilt.  It is so soft and cuddly.  I would love a quilt like this.  It would be interesting to know how this type of fabric is made.  Great job Rina.  Keep them coming.

Rina has donated this little quilt top for our comfort quilt collection.  It will go to a little princess just like you see in the fabric.  The quilting is finished and it's ready to go.  Thank you so, so much Rina.

Tiffilin Bag

Renee has just finished this lovely Tiffilin bag.  I think it will be the first of many to come.  It's so, so special.

 This has has been a very difficult week for us.  So much sorrow and pain.  We must continue to do for others as we heal. We want to bring joy to others.

A Bar Mitzvah Quilt

My daughter's oldest son just had his Bar Mitzvah and I was able to finish his his quilt on time.  He's a big boy now and he needed a new quilt.
